This week brings us art, art everywhere, with major annual art fair exhibitions setting up shop all over Manhattan. The Park Avenue Armory kicks off the festivities with The Art Show, which opens on Wednesday and runs through Sunday, and is quickly followed by the Pulse Contemporary Art Fair, The Armory Show, and the Verge Art Fair, which all open on Thursday and also run through Sunday. Most shows have an admission fee of $10-$40 and will certainly provide an interesting afternoon's worth of both old masters as well as up-and-coming artists!
If you missed seeing any of the 10 movies up for Best Picture at the Oscars, the AMC on 42nd Street is hosting a "Best Picture Showcase", screening every single one of the Best Picture nominees on Saturday starting at 12am and running all day & night! And if you're looking for something different to do on Oscar Sunday, don your favorite character's costume and head to the 4th Annual "Alternative Oscar Event" at Le Poisson Rouge.
